Florida Day 6-The Wild Olive

I can’t believe our last full day of Florida time is done…Back to the airport tomorrow, tear, cue the sad music here 😦

However, tonight “Tauntie” stayed home with Ryman after we put him to bed so we went out to eat for a late dinner at The Wild Olive and let me just tell you, it was WONDERFUL!

This is a quaint little house turned restaurant and the moment you walk in the front door, you know you’ve made a good decision 🙂

First came the bread with this wonderful parmesan olive oil.

And then it was gone ( I think we were hungry)

My sister made several recommendations and we tried them all starting with the Fried Green Tomatoes Stack with Okra. And it was wonderful!

For dinner, we started with Caesar salads, that were also amazing!

Andy had the Pearl Street Catch which was Pan sauteed Mahi with jumbo lump crab, toasted almonds, Mediterranean rice and green beans and I had the Shrimp Fra Diavolo which was tender jumbo shrimp in a spicy tomato broth with capellini pasta.

They were both incredible dishes AND we also had a free hot fudge brownie for dessert.

WOW.  It was the perfect ending to such a great meal.

Here we are

Goodnight, Florida 🙂
